The village of Venaco

The village of Venaco is located in the heart of Corsica, halfway between Bastia and Ajaccio. This central location allows you to easily travel throughout Corsica and discover all the treasures of the Isle of Beauty.

Venaco is just 10 minutes from Corte, 40 minutes from the nearest beaches, and 5 minutes from a river. The village of Venaco is known for its cheeses and charcuterie, which you'll find on the Corsican market stalls. This little corner of paradise is peaceful and offers many activities to do in the great outdoors.

In July and August, you can also visit the Venaco municipal swimming pool, located 200 meters from Hotel U Frascone, your hotel with restaurant. We know the area inside out and can recommend the best places to eat in the area.

The city of Corte

Corte is a charming town full of history and monuments to discover. We advise you to go to the summit of Corte and visit the citadel dating from the end of the 18th century. At the citadel, you will find the Corsica Museum which hosts numerous art exhibitions, but also concerts, events and conferences. Walk along the ramparts and you will reach the belvedere from where you will obtain a superb 360° view of the entire region. The city is full of natural treasures such as the Restonica Valley, La Scala di Santa Regina, the Vecchio gorges and the Niolu.

The Forest of Vizzavona

Walk in this superb 1,600 hectare forest located in the town of Vivario. At nearly 1,000 meters above sea level, the forest is a true oasis of coolness in the middle of summer. You can go on many walks and hikes, but also tree climbing sessions. Take the famous “Cascade des Anglais” trail, a must-see in the region.

Le canyoning

It is in the Vecchio gorges and in the Verghellu Valley that you can do a canyoning session. You can also walk along the water, swim or go hiking. We advise you to go through the Gustave Eiffel Viaduct, designed in 1880.
